FAQ / CARE GUIDE

Answers, without the beige energy.

Candles, melts, diffusers, sprays, orders and the small details that make the whole ritual behave better. Start with the category that smells like your problem.

01 / Candles + melts

Candles + melts

Burn slower. Melt cleaner. Read this before blaming the wax.

Light, trim, melt to the edge. The small rituals make the product behave better.

We use a high-quality soy blend selected for a smooth melt pool, clean burn and consistent scent throw. It is chosen for performance, stability and a more considered home-fragrance experience.

Tunnelling usually happens when a candle is not burned long enough during the first one to two burns. Let the wax melt close to the edge before putting it out. That first melt pool sets the memory of the candle.

Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each burn, let the wax pool reach the edges, and avoid burning for more than 4 hours at a time. Clean habits. Better burn.

Frosting is a natural soy wax characteristic. It may look like a pale or crystallised pattern, but it does not affect the burn, throw or safety of the product.

Soy wax can release small beads of oil when exposed to heat or temperature shifts. It is normal, especially in warmer rooms, and does not mean the candle is faulty.

Yes, but intentionally. WAFT candles are made for a refined scent presence that fills a room without turning it into a headache.

Each melt can give around 6–12 hours of fragrance, depending on your warmer, the room size and airflow.

Yes. Wax melts are perfect for blending. Mix two or more cubes to create your own scent mood for the day.

Let the wax cool slightly, then remove it with a cotton pad, silicone cup or gentle lift-out method. Do not pour melted wax down the drain.

Top notes evaporate first, so later melts may feel warmer and more subtle. That is normal for soy-based fragrance.

02 / Reed diffusers

Reed diffusers

Constant fragrance. Zero flame. Still needs a little behaviour management.

Diffusers are low-effort, not no-effort. Placement, reeds and airflow change everything.

On average, 8–12 weeks depending on airflow, room size, temperature and how often the reeds are flipped. Warmer rooms usually diffuse faster.

Fresh reeds absorb a lot of fragrance in the beginning. After a few days, the scent settles into a steadier, more refined diffusion.

We use a premium, low-odour diffuser base designed for clean evaporation and strong fragrance solubility. The aim is long-lasting scent without harsh chemical noise.

Flip the reeds once a week for a refreshed scent, or more often if you want stronger diffusion. Flip carefully and avoid walls, furniture and delicate surfaces.

Some fragrance materials naturally oxidise over time, especially in warm spaces. A slight colour shift is normal and does not affect performance or safety.

Use 5 to 7 reeds depending on the size of the room. More reeds give a stronger throw; fewer reeds make the scent softer.

Place it in a ventilated area away from direct sunlight, heaters, open windows and surfaces that can be damaged by oil.

Yes. Clean and fully dry the bottle before refilling, and always replace the reeds. Old reeds are usually too saturated to perform properly again.

03 / Room sprays

Room sprays

Instant atmosphere. Spray with taste, not panic.

For quick resets, fabric refreshes and rooms that need to stop announcing themselves.

Our sprays are made with a cosmetic-grade base and high-quality fragrance oils designed for quick, clean dispersion. No parabens or heavy solvent feel.

Room sprays offer instant scent that can last from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on airflow, fabric surfaces and room size.

Yes on most fabrics, but always spot test first, especially on light-coloured or delicate materials. Avoid silk and fragile textiles.

Two to four sprays are enough for most rooms. Start smaller than you think. You can always add more.

Yes. Mist into the air and let it settle. Avoid spraying directly onto leather, dashboards, screens or polished surfaces.

They are designed to be low-residue, but unfamiliar fabrics and porous surfaces should always be patch tested first.

04 / General enquiries

General enquiries

The practical bits. Less glamorous. Still important.

Ingredients, pets, ethics and how the same scent behaves in different formats.

Yes. WAFT products are made without animal-derived ingredients and are not tested on animals.

Use home fragrance responsibly around pets. Keep products out of reach, avoid ingestion, ensure good ventilation and check with your vet if your pet has sensitivities.

Not exactly. Candles, diffusers, room sprays and wax melts carry fragrance differently. We adjust each format so it performs properly while keeping the intended scent character.
